this team is slowly losing

this team is slowly losing its discipline that was instilled during the Bill Parcells' regime.  You can actually see it slowly going away from the day Parcells' left to 1-1/4 seasons under the coach Phillips  era.

WOW!!!

WOW!!!

Hey Chad and Geoff, If your

Hey Chad and Geoff,

If your job is to talk about sports, you should try to do some rudimentary research into the topics for discussion. Look, we all understand that "Philllies fan" Geoff just hates to talk about baseball, but if you're willing to invite a bloviating gasbag like Will Carroll on the air to answer your questions about MLB, you have an obligation to your listeners to counter his nonsensical arguments with some easily verified facts. If you're not up to the task, at least allow your callers to do your job for you.

I called in yesterday to blow Carroll's b.s. to shreds and you two clowns cut me off and essentially censored any other calls about the topic. Brilliant move, guys, just brilliant. Your station is the RADIO FLAGSHIP for the Round Rock Express, but in the world of Head  Jocksniffer-of-the-Precious, Geoff Ketchum, we can't talk about the Houston Astros. You know what? You can go Cheney yourself, Ketch. I get it, you wanted to talk all day about Vince, but if you didn't want any baseball talk, DON'T INVITE CARROLL ON YOUR SHOW!! You brought this on yourselves, guys.

Now, allow me to give the three listeners reading this forum some information to consider the next time they hear you two scoff and giggle along with Carroll about the Houston Astros. When Carroll said yesterday that the Astros were winning mostly because of a weak schedule, he lied. (He knows better, and if he doesn't, wtf is he doing appearing as a "expert" on your radio show?) The Astros have the best record in baseball since the All-Star break, and they've done it against winning teams.

Fact: They're 34-16 since the All-Star break.

Fact: They're 45-27 since June 20.

Fact: They swept the Cardinals right before sweeping the Cubs.

Fact: Since the ASB, they've played three series against the Cubs, two series against the Brewers, one series against the Cardinals, and two series against the Mets. That's 25 games.

Fact: Since the ASB, they've played two series against the Pirates, two series against the Reds, and one series each against the Giants, Rockies, and D-backs. That's 26 games.

Fact: The Astros are 17-8 against the winning teams in the second half. They're 16-10 against the losing teams. But according to BP writer Will Carroll, they're winning just because they're playing losing teams.

Uh, wrong, and if you two would do your freakin' job, you'd call him out on it. Don't you guys have a computer in the studio to look at stats and schedules and such?

By the way, the next time you talk to Carroll, point him to this post. Hey Will Carroll--have you wrapped your water-logged brain around the reason Ed Wade got Hawkins and Wolf? Does "buy low" mean anything to you? Oh that's right, the Astros aren't a NY/BOS/CHI team, so they have no business trying to win baseball games down the stretch, and if they'd just follow the advice of the Baseball Prospectus anti-geniuses, they'd sell their proven stars for minor league prospects.

Idiot.

Hey Geoff, Was that Chad on

Hey Geoff,

Was that Chad on the "Special Rock" at UTEP?

Geoff; You comments about

Geoff;

You comments about your obsession of the Dallas Cowboys was describing me to a "T". Even down to the dog being scared. My wife almost didn't marry me after she saw how I reacted to a Cowboy game. Now days I lock myself in the spare room and watch the Cowboys (Longhorns too) and don't my wife or dog into the room. I sit in the same postion if they score and move if they don't. I've tried not to take them serious but when the game starts I change into crazy fan. Glad to know I'm not by myself in this world. Thanks!

Chad, I have two words for

Chad, I have two words for you!!! MARIA KIRILENKO!!!  I just got back from my first trip to Yankee Stadium and caught the U.S. Open on Wednesday morning.  She was practicing on the outter courts.  Look her up.  She is better looking than Sharapova and Kournakova, in my opinion.  She is unreal!!!

the people who post here

the people who post here need 2 little yellow pills,   hello,  wake up,  its a talk show,  they get to talk about whatever the f___ they want,  keep the dj voice, and talk about anything you want guys,  dont like it?  turn the mf'n station da

Why are the longhorns

Why are the longhorns letting one off the cuff remark by Colin Cowherd get you guys riled up so much?  You sound like a bunch of aggies.  Don't worry Ketch, no one's saying you have to trade your VY jersey for a Crabtree one.  You can keep #10 up on your wall ..... right next to your Texas State diploma.

Ketch I think you are

Ketch I think you are interpreting Cowherd's comments too literally. My read is that he is saying if Leach had the talent that Texas has consistently, his results would be far beyond what we have accomplished.

Its nice to get a break from

Its nice to get a break from Ketch.  Geoff, lets see if you can go one day without getting so far off the topic ya'll are talking about at any given time that I dont have to change the station until you are done.

This is strictly for

This is strictly for Chad.....dude enough with the stripper DJ voice already....it's played and it makes you sound like you are longing for the old days at the other station.  Turn the page....move on.

Everytime you do it i turn to another station....get new material bud.

Don't make that your legacy you are better than that.

I've got the solution to

I've got the solution to golf in the olympics.  Olympic putt putt.  No speedo's required.  Make the biggest, baddest course every four years with all par 4's.  It would be alot faster and a hell of a lot more fun to watch than diving, fencing, and just about most olympic events.  It can be done and I might even watch it without falling asleep.

It's refreshing to listen to

It's refreshing to listen to a station that actaully discusses sports, instead of the latest problems at CapMetro. You guys are doing a great job, and I hope listeners realize the "other guys" are a bunch of arrogant jerks who could care less what their listeners want. The proof is in the fact that Sal from New York has switched to 1530, and Brian "the mouth" Jones has been on. Keep doing what you're doing, and good things will happen.

Track & Field with the old

Track & Field with the old NINTENDO!!!

Your fingers will go NUMB

Geoff seems arrogant to

Geoff seems arrogant to me.  Last week Chad was trying to give Geoff a compliment about being on ESPN and Geoff SMUGGLY told Chad "That wasnt my first time on ESPN, Chad".  All Chad was doing was saying that it was the first time since they started there show together that he heard him on ESPN.  To Geoffs credit he did say "thanks" but it didnt seem very sincere and to me he came off VERY arrogant.

Sooooo....I know Chad can

Sooooo....I know Chad can speak to this, is it tough having a Christmas birthday?  Happy Birthday Jesus and Chad?!?!

Good to find you hangin and bangin brother.....and I will say that if Favre goes to the Jets, that is the third of the seven signs of the apocalypse.  I really, really, really don't want to see him go to the Bucs....even though I know that might give you a chubby....but how many QBs can your boy Gruden carry on the roster????  12???  I need some space in the NFC South for my Saints.  Favre and a healthy Cadillac could be bad for the rest of the South.  Should be Saints and Bucs fighting it out anyway....Falcons and Panthers couldn't put a team together between the two of them.

Word to the Third

Ok Geoff's misplaced tirade

Ok Geoff's misplaced tirade on why the greatest player on the 1980s Washington Redskins should not be in the hall of fame was a little tiresome but given he is a Cowboys fan I could forgive him.  I mean obviously he never saw Monk or the Redskins play since he seems to be under the impression they ran the Texas Tech offense.  If Kliff Kingsbury had put up those sorts of numbers while running a ball control power running attack like the Redskins did (again you are going to have to take my word for it Geoff since you never seem to have ever seen them play) he would definitely be the greatest Big XII QB of all time.

I could go into detail about the great games Monk played (I will only mention one: he single handedly dismantled the great Chicago Bears defense in the 1986 playoffs.  They had only allowed more than one touchdown twice the entire regular season.  Monk made them look like chumps.) or why I only had to giggle at his Gary Clark comparison but instead I will just say that if a guy who led the entire NFL in career receptions does not belong in the hall of fame who freaking does?

don't take this

don't take this personal, but now that you mentioned it, Geoff should probably do the show without you, cuz your not very good...aren't you an aggie anyway!

Hook'em

I will say this as a

I will say this as a Longhorn fan, Chad does a fantastic job and I think the chemistry with Geoff is fantastic. I used to listen to the afternoon show with Chad and K-Dunn at the other station and always found Chad as a knowledgeable sports host. I know that he favors tennis but we won't hold that against him!

This is the year of the

This is the year of the aggies. Not only will we make it three in a roll against the almighty t-sips but as AGGIE fans we should expect a BCS bid after taking the big twelve. Sorry no horns, maybe next year!!

Ketch, did you just say 5

Ketch, did you just say 5 aggies were playing in a game tonight?  Is it the 3 star player bowl?

New website is looking

New website is looking great! Keep up the good work guys!

Great to see the web site

Great to see the web site coming around.  Unpredictable work hours mean I miss The Drive a lot of days, so hopefully the web site can keep me up on all the shenanigans.

C'mon, guys, just get us through these last few miserable weeks of "who cares?" sports before college football cranks up again!

Great show, looking forward

Great show, looking forward to pre-and post game shows. Hopefully I can get in when I call the show so I can debate  sports issues with Sal from New York ( a very good caller by the way ) or Neals the Michigan ST guy or even OU Mark, hey as a Horn fan I will take them all!!!

Let's make this station with its tremendous lineup THE #1 AUSTIN STATION IN THE SOUTHWEST!!!!
