His passion for youth in the outdoors earned him the prestigious Bass Pro Shop's "Pass it On" award for 2011-2012. You can find regular articles on his blog or various magazines. He also publishes the award winning Country Line Magazine, from Austin, Texas.
Greaney loves his wife and kids, his church, little league baseball, FFA, fishing, hunting and teaching kids about life while just hangin' out at the ranch, any ranch.
Cody Ryan Greaney was raised on the front of a 16' bass boat. Since he was old enough to put on a PDF (life jacket), he held a spot on the family fishing boat. Soon board with child friendly reels and baits he progressed at a young age to the bait caster and graphite rod.
Saturdays, holidays and even some school days kept him fishing with his father and in any body of water that might hold fish.
"I remember craw-fishing in front of my granny's house with a string and a piece of bacon. I would sit there for hours just trying to lift one up far enough to drop it in the bucket. I get that same exciting feeling today when I am trying to land a fish. They still drop off on occasion and that I guess may never change, but I live for the bite."
Now at 28 Cody Ryan, as he is know on the bass circuit, is fishing for pay. When he is not fishing, guiding fishing trips or talking about fishing he is asleep. "When I got out of college I went straight to work fishing small open tournaments. Now I am fishing two tournament trails and I spend most of my time on the water."
Cody Ryan's background in radio, media and promotions makes him the perfect choice when it comes to sponsorships and speaking engagements.
